Paws by the Prom 2019
Dedicated volunteers and staff welcomed hundreds of dogs and their humans to the annual Paws by the Prom open day event on Sunday, 1st September at Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home.
Barking Cat was there to capture the event on behalf of the charity again this year. There was such a buzz, with so many things to see and do, and so many wonderful dogs to meet and cuddle!
The day involved a fun dog show, dog training displays, temptation alley, drop in surgeries on behaviour issues, a cat photo competition, tours of the kennels and cattery and a variety of stalls offering arts and crafts, canine massage, pet foods and treats , and delicious treats for humans, too.
Paws by the Prom is an important event for Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, as an opportunity to raise awareness of their work rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats, and reuniting lost pets with their owners. It’s also vital for raising funds to continue their crucial work and a great chance for people in the community, and beyond, to come together and enjoy a day out with their beloved pets.
Thank you to the volunteers and staff at the centre, all the stall holders and exhibitors, sponsors and everyone else who made the day a success.
